FOCCAS is a foster home based rescue group in Coos Bay, Oregon. (on the Oregon Coast) None of these animals are located in the animal shelter; they are in our homes, being treated like our own pets. We show them for adoption on Saturdays 10-4 in Pony Village Mall in North Bend, Oregon. We are next to Sears, you can enter through the end by First Interstate Bank OR walk through Ross Dress for Less. We can make other arrangements to see the pet, depending on the situation and foster homes..............

His adoption fee is $150.00 The adoption fee includes neuter, da2pp vaccine(s), bordetella vaccine(s), rabies vaccine, dewormed, flea treated, Found.com microchip with registration, free 30 day Shelter Care pet insurance, free vet wellness checkup with a choice of 13 veterinarians, Coos County Dog License, doggy goody bag, leash and collar...........DENTAL 5/21,.heartworm tested, has been on heartgard monthly, cbc/chem 6 bloodwork, has been groomed monthly........ .................No children under 12 years old....

Mac was surrendered to FOCCAS and the owner was very sad. Mac's foster mom is also his past pet sitter and these are her notes about him in her home. I have watched him for years. He is well behaved, doesn't play with other dogs but also doesn't mind them. Probably not for small children just because of his breed. He needs exercise. He is housebroken, crate trained (but loves sleeping under the covers with his person), needs a fenced yard so he can enjoy being outside and sleeping in the sun. He likes to hang his head out the car window when you go for a drive. ........
These are some notes from the previous owner....Mac is very sweet when he knows you but has American Eskimo traits. Will not be your friend until he knows you. . He seems to prefer women to men. He knows to go to his crate when I say "crate!" He'll go in his crate on his own when he wants quiet time. He eats Halo Spot's Stew small breed dog food. He loves a few of his toys but usually only plays with them for a minute. My belief is that he was mistreated before I got him. The day I picked him up he gave me a soft bite several times as I took him out of the travel crate and then cried/cowered when I bent down to pet him. It took me a couple of years before he was okay with me petting his side or ears. Same with picking him up or touching him when he slept. Men in work boots/hats seem to trigger him. He loves to be loved. I called him a love sponge once he got to know me. He'll jump in my lap while I'm on the computer for some love. He'll lean into you when you brush him. I've gotten him used to having his eyes cleaned to the point where if he sees me get a Kleenex, he assumes it's for him and will come over to me for eye wiping. If I need to clean his backside, he'll let me do it and then start leaping in the air because he knows a treat will follow. I've been having him groomed once a month, which is more than he needs, but I wanted him to have the social experience. His groomer (Grooming by the Bay in Winchester Bay) just loves him. He's terrified by fireworks and thunder - and will respond with non-stop barking. He'll look for a hiding place (under the bed or the closet). He's not been around children because he can be reactive. For more information contact
