Little dog...big personality, that's me!   They call me Elf and you only get ONE guess as to why!  I am an Eskie/Pomeranian mix, mostly white with some biscuit thrown in.  And I will make you laugh with all my doggie antics!  My foster mom cracks up daily at what I do.  I have soooo much fun!

My Eskie angel rescued me when an adoption fell through at the shelter that I was in, although I heard that she had asked for me a week earlier.
I guess it was meant to be that I get with the wonderful people at ERU to help me find a home.  And my foster mom says it will have to be a home where the people know how to take care of a little man like me.  I think cats so so funny, I'd never hurt one but I do like to give them a smell and maybe a little chase :)  And no small children, please.

I love attention and to sit on your lap and to be carried.  But I also love to run!  Run, run, run and bark!   I really want a fenced yard so I can run freely, too.   If you have another small dog, I would absolutely love it as I play all the time with my foster sis.  I will sleep in a crate but I don't like to be in it all day.

I am mainly housebroken but if you don't watch my signals, then I may have a little "accident". Because my foster mom is home a lot, she lets me out often so I've really only had one boo-boo since being here.  She has other fosters and they are mostly big.  Of course, everything is big to me!  I do get along with other dogs but I'd like it if they were small so I could play with them better. I already said that but it was worth repeating, I think.

Well, gotta go.  Gotta run.  Gotta play.  Yeah!

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
