Update (9/5):  Nadia had her teeth cleaned and 13 teeth removed!  She is doing great, loves her daily walks, has a great appetite for food and life!

Update:  Nadia's blood work showed elevated renal values so she will be continuing on antibiotics and started taking epakitin powder.  We'll recheck her values in 2-3 weeks.  If her values improve we will be able to have her dental work done.  In the meantime she is the sweetest little girl, she follows me everywhere wagging her tail the whole time.  I know she is thankful to be alive and in a home where she is loved and appreciated.

This sweet baby was found as a stray in Kentucky.  The eskie railroad got her safely to Maryland.  The shelter labeled her as a neutered male (and named "him" Stormy) but lo and behold, once we removed her matts (she could barely walk), bathed her and brushed her out we noticed something was missing :)  Nadia is a tiny little girl, very precious and frail.  She has wonderful house manners.  Nadia is having trouble eating, even soft food; I am sure she'll need dental care and blood work.  Our goal is to get her stronger before she has any procedures done.  She'll be visitng the vet on Sunday (8/5).

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
