I am a very calm, quiet girl looking to join a friendly family or couple. I love to get out for long walks. I get very excited when I see my leash. I do love to run or jog abit when we first get out, then I'll walk nicely beside my person. I try to chase squirrels and rabbitts when I see them, so my foster mother always keeps a tight grip on my leash. I enjoy keeping my family company while we relax outdoors. I’m a very social dog, and am curious about everyone we come across. I just rather new people don't pat me until I have a chance to get comfortable around them. I'll get along with most dogs I meet when we're out, unless they bark at me first. I’ll always bark to let you know when company is at the door (or the mail or a package), but I usually stop once I see, and smell, it's one of our friends. When I’m alone, I like to amuse myself by chewing on my stuffed chew toys, but I don’t chew up anything else. And I never get on the furniture, I love my own doggy beds so much. My foster mother has two house cats. I don't really like them, but since growling at them didn't scare them away, I try to ignore them.
My former family let me run the show, and I didn’t get to meet many people. But since I’ve been with my foster mom I’ve learned to let her be in charge. I have learned nice manners, and made many new friends. I was with my last person for as long as I can remember. She had to give me up when she moved to a retirement community. She was very sad, but she knows the nice people at Eskie Rescuers will find me a furever home.
I’m staying with my foster mother in Newton, MA (right next to Boston). She’ll be happy to tell you more about me, (she’s very nice). You can e-mail her at lbceriani@aol.com

Special Needs: Angel has developed some aggression issues and can be over protective. She is currently being evaluated to see if there is a medical reason for her behavior.
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.
There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
