Hi, my name is Gamble, but you won't be gambling if you decide to adopt me--I'm a sure thing to become your perfect guy! :o)

I'm a very active and playful fellow (you might even call me rambunctious!). You see, I'm still in that puppy stage where I haven't quite learned all my manners or mastered those social skills that will make me a truly great dog. I will need you to take me to obedience classes to help me reach that goal (and taking the classes together will help us bond as well).

I'm almost completely housebroken, and after I get neutered, that training should go even better. My foster mommy is teaching me to walk properly on a leash. She says, though, that you'll need to keep a tight hold on me and watch me closely, because with my youthful spirits, I like to run, so I just might escape from your grasp and lead you on a merry chase.

I'm a really friendly boy who just loves to be around people and give them lots of kisses! I get so excited when I meet new folks that I want to jump up on them, so my foster mommy is teaching me that that is not acceptable behavior. And after a while, I settle down and am quite well-behaved.

I get along very well with other dogs, but we're not sure if I like cats or not. (I do like to chase the one that's here, but it may be that I'm just trying to play with him.) I love my toys, and so far I've showed my foster mommy that I'm a good boy by not chewing on furniture or anything else I'm not supposed to chew on. That's pretty good for a 1-year old youngster, don't you think?

I'm very sweet and affectionate, and I will spend my entire life trying to please you. Doesn't that sound like the kind of friend and companion you want in your life? I sure hope so, because I'm watching out the window every day to see if my new forever family walks up to the house--will that be you?

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact Gina at: Justus4250@aol.com. You can also click here to fill out an adoption application for me.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.) If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you).

There is a $150 adoption fee for me, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Thank you and WOOF!
