Update: Julia was found to have benign mammary tumors during her spay surgery. The first mastectomy cost a little over $1000. She will need another mastectomy which will also cost $1000. Will you consider sponsoring Julia?

I am staying in Randallstown, MD until I find my new family.

Watch out world - Julia is here and I'm 15 pounds of personality! I am a very smart and pretty girlie, if I do say so myself. I live with my foster-mommy and four fur-brothers. I don't play with the boys but I get along with them just fine. I am content to just watch my foster-mommy and be near her, or better yet on her! I am fine with people that are new to me if I am carefully introduced. It does not take long before the stranger is a friend.

Julia was found as a stray by a family that kept her for two weeks before leaving her at the shelter. While Julia was at the families home she was attacked by one of their dogs. Yet Julia was labeled as dog and people aggressive by the shelter! Sadly, this happens much too often. Julia will be the perfect companion to someone that will take the time to get to know her and appreciate her and will be willing to carefully introduce her to new people and canines. Julia would do best in a home without small children and without a lot of hustle and bustle.

Julia received several puncture wounds from the dog attack which were treated as soon as we picked her up from the shelter. She will be spayed around the first week of September.

Good with Dogs

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
