Romeo is a unique little boy; he's basically a dark charcoal grey and silver standard-size eskie! He and a female were rescued together by a Chow rescue from a shelter that had them both listed as Chow mixes. They were much too small to be Chows , and Romeo's personality is nothing like a Chow. His rescue thinks he's probably an American Eskimo/Pomeranian mix.
Romeo weighed 17 pounds when rescued, and is now up to a nice weight of 30 pounds. He is very affectionate and loves to sleep on the bed or curl up on the couch near his human. He's good with other dogs and cats, but is not recommended for a home with small children. He loves to play chase in the yard, and gets other dogs involved. He's great at the groomer and vet clinic, and loves to be brushed. Loves car rides, chews, and is great on walks. He's very inquisitive and will pull items out of bags and laundry baskets if left where he can reach them. He can be a little leary of strangers at first, but quickly warms up to them. He needs an owner with Eskie experience who is a strong leader, and he would love it if there was another dog in the home. Seems fine with cats, and has shown no prey drive. Romeo is fully vetted -- up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventatives, house trained, and crate trained.
