Hi my name is Toby of Maryland and was rescued from a local shelter due to a hoarding situation.  My foster mom thinks i am the best dog, I hear her all the time saying how good i am.  I have not shown any aggression to anyone but  I am a little skittish at first but it did not take long to  trust my foster mom.

She doesnt know if something happened to me with a man because i am different around her than my foster daddy. Even tho i love them both. At this time we think its best that i be placed in a female only home unless the male in the home is ok with me not being his buddy. Then i might do ok. However we are still learning about this side of me.

i need to have a secure fenced in yard to run and run or lots of walks but would love to have a young playmate like myself to run with.  No Seniors unless they still have some energy to run with me.

I am crate trained however I dont' believe I am 100 percent housebroke but I am sure I will get there.   I have been around a small child for a few hours but not sure how i would do around small children for an extended amount of time since i am still skittish.

I am  current on all vacinnations and neutered.  My foster mom would like for someone local so we can do a meet and greet.   She would like to make sure i will get along with the other dog and it would be a good fit.  I am a barker but she is working on that with me.  I travel great in the car but i am secured in the seat so i dont take over driving.

Please consider me with the right home my foster mommy thinks i will make a really great dog.  I heard her say said she would keep me but she has two older dogs that don't want to play and she thinks that i deserve to have a fur sibling that wants to play to spend my days with.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
