And she is only one and a half years old! She was rescued by another rescue and adopted out with a spay/neuter contract (where the adoptees agreed in writing to get her neutered within a certain period of time). Instead, the adoptees bred her to a pit bull, then kept the puppies and Vanna on a porch, then when the puppies were old enough, she was kept in the back yard. That rescue was able to get her back but the adoptees refused to give up the puppies. When she came to us her hair was cut off so we don't know what her coat will be like, she was full of fleas and worms, and had an ear infection and goodness knows what else. She weighed only 10 lbs. She is now flea and worm free and has been tested for heartworm and is heartworm negative. She is now 15 lbs. So far she is the sweetest little girl you can imagine. In a second she will be your best friend. She is very adaptable (and adorable!) and gets along great with other dogs, cats, kids, and even horses. She loves playing with my chi Oliver. She goes into her crate willingly and sometimes just to take a nap! She will sit by the door when she wants to go out to potty. She loves going outdoors and loves the snow! She thinks she is a lap dog and loves to cuddle and get belly rubs. She is learning how to play. She never had the chance before. She loves rawhide chews. She knows how to sit on command. We are working on other commands. She is easy to walk. She was really really good at the vet when she got her heartworm test and when she was spayed.
