About Cady

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Rescue ID: 05-033
  • Housetrained: Yes
Hi! My name is Cady--you know, like the Katydid bug, because I'm just as cute as a bug! (Well, that and my foster mommy is always telling people "Cady did this" and "Cady did that!" HeHe!) The vet says I'm about 5 years old, but I feel and act more like I'm 2! I'm a miniature-sized American Eskimo female who weighs 16 pounds. I have some biscuit color on me, but it actually adds to my beautiful appearance! I'm a real showstopper...everyone wants to stop and pet me and see how pretty I am! My foster mom gets so many compliments about me, but I'm trying not to get a swelled head about it! :o) She's even told me she's never seen such a beautiful Eskie face!

I'm spayed, current on all my vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm, flea and tick prevention. Boy, these folks think of everything! I'm also crate-trained and mostly housebroken. I also walk well on a leash.

I was rescued from a home where I was severely abused, but I'm such a sweet and loving girl you'd hardly notice! Also, I have this cat issue...I don't like them! Well, I do actually, but my foster mommy says the way I like them isn't really a good thing! Hmmm, I wonder what she means by that?! She says I have a very strong "prey drive"- so keep me away from those little critters!!

I would do well as either an only dog or with another dog. My foster siblings are mostly really laid back, so I don't get to play with them because they can get grumpy. But that doesn't stop me; I just play with my foster mommy instead!

I have an amazing personality. I'm loyal and loving, and I'm learning commands like "sit." I can be spunky and playful, and I'll even dance for my treats! I love to get up on the couch or bed with you and cuddle and give you sweet Eskie kisses. I'm an especially loving girl who gives back twice as much as I take. I need my very own forever family, and I know they're out there somewhere--I think it could be you! Please hurry and fill out an adoption application for me!

If you're interested in me and would like more information, please send an e-mail to: eskierescuer@aol.com. You can also click here to fill out an adoption application for me.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. I'm in Loves Park, IL with my foster mommy, Kim.

To get me to you, we can do what's called an "Eskie Railroad," which is a group of volunteer drivers who will each drive a certain portion of the transport. (We always ask that you, as the adopter, help out by taking the final leg.)

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you may have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you).

There is a $150 adoption fee required, and please be aware that Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie hugs and kisses!

Cady
