Hi!  I'm Mack!  I'm a fun-loving guy who's looking for a new home.  I've travelled around the US from SC to PA and now I'm in MS.  I'm an energetic boy who likes to play with other dogs my size (I like to play a little rough, so small dogs may not be a good idea).  Since I'm fully of energy, I shouldn't be around small fry, I don't want them to get knocked over.  Here's what my foster mommy, Debbie, has to say about me:

Small standard size--est. ~28 lbs.  Probably a mix--he has a curly coat and his head isn't shaped like a purebred Eskie's.  UTD on vacs, HW negative.  Very active and energetic, needs plenty of exercise.  Good with other dogs, especially active ones--plays aggressively, but doesn't hurt other dogs.  Walks well on a leash.  Knows "sit" and "hush" commands.  Loves to be outdoors--a home with a fenced backyard to run in would be best.  Very affectionate--loves ear scratches, petting, and attention; wants to be close to his person.  Enjoys grooming--begs to be brushed when he sees a brush.  Doggy door trained.  Crate trained--likes to go in a crate & chill out for down time/rest/sleep.  Hates cats.  Not tested with kids, but would probably be fine with older school-age kids who could play with him.  May be too energetic for babies or very small kids.

So enough about me, tell me about you!  You can email me at eskiedebbie@yahoo.com That's actually my foster mommy's address, but she'll get the message to me.  If I'm not the right eskie for you, there's lots of other eskies in the foster system, so put in an application before someone scoops me up!

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
