Hello everyone - I am Sophia! I am a sweet little Eskie girl who is new to rescue. I am being fostered in Richmond, VA. I was picked up as a stray in Rutherford County, NC before the nice people at ERU came and rescued me.
My foster mom says I am very sweet. I love to cuddle and to be brushed. I have learned how to sit and wait for my food, and I'm trying to learn not to jump on you. I also take my treats gently. Do you like to play ball? I love to play fetch. I love being outside but need a little practice walking on leash - there are just so many things to sniff! And guess what? I learned how to use the doggie door to go out when I need to! Being on my own and being picked up and taken to a scary shelter has left me a little anxious about being separated. I would love to have another dog to hang out with. I am a little shy in the beginning, but before you know it, I will be following you everywhere. Would you love a sweet, young, Eskie girl to snuggle with? Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state. Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
