Hamilton is a handsome southern gentleman that was found in rough shape as a stray in Texas. He is a younger, energetic fellow that is eager to please. He enjoys the company of other dogs once properly introduced and loves being with his people. He can be cat curious, but does well with supervision. He is still learning his manners and does have a tendency to jump. He would do best in a home without young children. He has a condition called Addison's disease that is well controlled with a low dose of prednisone once daily. Hamilton will be happiest in a home where he is able to play fetch, go for walks, and be the center of attention. He is kennel trained and has come a long way with potty training but still has occasional accidents if his signals are missed. He is very smart and has learned a few simple commands such as sit, stay, and down. He will make a wonderful addition to the right home.
