***PLEASE NOTE:  This eskie is SPONSORSHIP ONLY.  Nikki is a senior and will be living out her life in a foster home that has no other pets; she gets very stressed out by other animals.  Thank you for your understanding, and for your compassion toward the eskies in our long-term care.

===================================================================

Nikki is a very sweet standard-sized female Eskie who was an owner surrender to a shelter due to her owner's illness, and she's very much in need of someone to love her.   She only wants to spend time with her human.  She has a beautiful full coat, and loves to be petted and brushed.  She's healthy and quite active for her age (14 years old in February), up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative, completely house trained, and had a dental in the past year.  She loves going for walks and hasn't barked at any of the people they pass, and was fine meeting a neighbor's two huskies.
She hasn't gotten on the couch or bed in her foster home, but she always wants to be near her foster mom; especially at night, she sleeps on the floor right by the bed.

Nikki tolerates cats and will chase them occasionally, but not fast enough to pose a danger to them.  She needs to be an only dog, and preferably in a home with adults only.  Respectful teenagers would be fine, but no young children should be in the home.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.

If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers.

There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.

Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
