HI, I'm Brownie, neutered 13.7 yr old and just 18 lbs. I need a special home where people move slow and I can build my confidence. I've had a pretty tough life and starting to come out of my shell. I love to play with other dogs and don't mind cats at all. My foster home has some kids, and I'm fine with them, although I don't really hang out with the kids because they are usually too loud for me. I enjoy getting a bath and can stand very still while being washed. I enjoy being brushed and don't even mind if my nails are trimmed. My foster mom says it will take a special person to adopt me with my scaredy cat nature. I think I've been making great strides in accepting human compassion and starting to really enjoy it.
Hi, I've had a tough life living in cages in my own filth. This year was different, I have been saved!!!!! I live in a long term foster home where I can run, socialize, play with toys, and be a "normal" dog. I am starting to trust humans little by little but I'm not really a dog that anyone would want to adopt. I don't seek out attention, I rather hang out with the other dogs. I need sponsorship to cover my medical costs at my foster home.

Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
