Hi, my name is JoJo! I'm an 8-year old miniature-sized American Eskimo boy who weighs approximately 22 pounds. Just take a look at my pictures--don't I look very handsome indeed? I'm neutered, current on all my shots, heartworm negative and on heartworm prevention. I'm also housetrained and just LOVE to go for walks and car rides.
I'm a very loyal Eskie who is very protective of my family, so I don't take kindly to strangers. (I put on my ferocious act and growl at them until I know they won't harm my loved ones!) It takes me a while to warm up to new people, but I'm very sweet and loving once you get on my good side. :o)
Though I'm good with older kids (as well as with dogs and cats), I would do best in a home that doesn't have a lot of commotion. I also need a family that is experienced with dogs (especially the American Eskimo breed, as we ARE a special and unique kind of dog, you know!).
Since I am very particular about protecting my family, I've been put up for sponsorship unless the right family comes along. So if you can't adopt me, would consider sponsoring me?
If you're interested in me and would like more information, please contact us: contact@eskierescuers.org. You can also visit our website and sign-up to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our adoption process.
Thank you and WOOF!
JoJo

Is Not Good with Kids
Whenever possible Eskie Rescuers United tries to adopt out its dogs locally (or at least to adopters in adjoining states to where I'm being fostered). Please note that ERU processes LOCAL adoption applications before considering those from out of state.
If I'm not local to you, as explained above, and you really have your heart set on me, you will have to make special arrangements so ERU can get me to you safely (for example, flying me to you at your own expense, or paying a transport group to drive me to you). Note: We may ask that you to make a donation to cover transport costs if the distance is great and we have trouble finding transport drivers. There is an adoption fee required; and, please be aware, Eskie Rescuers United will not adopt out its dogs as outdoor dogs.
Eskie Rescuers United American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc. is an IRS-approved 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please click the donation button below to make a tax-deductible donation through PayPal and help make a difference to even one American Eskimo dog!
